Our abuse claim lawyers celebrate Childhood Day by raising funds for the NSPCC

Friday the 10th of June 2022 was Childhood Day. It is a national campaign organised by the NSPCC to raise awareness of its work in protecting vulnerable children in the UK. It is always held on the second Friday of June and is designed to bring everyone together nationwide “to have fun and protect children.”
According to the NSPCC, around half a million children suffer abuse in the UK every year. To put that staggering statistic into context, it equates to seven children in every classroom in the country experiencing abuse before their eighteenth birthday.
To raise much needed funds for the NSPCC our abuse lawyers went along to Somerset Cricket Club for their T20 match against Kent. Trade Nation had promised to donate £50 for each six scored in the game and £150 for every ball hit out of the ground. The company’s generosity, combined withe the fundraising efforts of everyone in attendance and the deep pockets of cricket supporters, ensured that the NSPCC raised almost £1,500.
The money will be used by the NSPCC in their work to stop child abuse and ensure that all children enjoy a childhood free of abuse. This work includes funding the NSPCC Helpline and Childline, as well as liaising with schools and other local service providers.
