Historical rape case
A Sussex man has been jailed for raping a 13 year old girl in the 1993. He was arrested in 2014 and was convicted on the 13th September 2016 after standing trial at Chichester Crown Court.
His victim had been unable to tell anyone of what had happened to her at the time of the rape. However, she was able to come forward in 2014 and following police investigation her rapist was convicted.
The detective who conducted the case said that the police would always listen to people who report any kind of sexual offence and will do their best to bring the perpetrators to justice.
